CutMyPropTax ("we," "us") operates cutmyproptax.com (the "Service"), a tool that checks Florida property-tax assessments against public records and, optionally, monitors properties over time. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.

1. Information we collect

CategoryWhatWhen
Property lookupsThe address or terms you type, and the properties you check (address, parcel/folio, county)When you search and view a result
Technical & locationIP address, approximate location (city/region/country) derived from your IP, browser, device, operating system, language, referring site, and campaign (UTM) tagsAutomatically, on each visit
Account & contactYour email address (and name, if you provide it)When you sign up to watch a property, log in, use the bulk checker (which asks for your name and email), or contact support
Usage analyticsActions such as visit, search, view-result, and sign-up, tied to a random session identifierAs you use the Service
Support messagesYour name, email, the topic, and the message you write — plus your IP addressWhen you contact us through the help page
PurchasesYour name, email address, phone number, and billing address; the product bought, the amount, the date, and the property (parcel/folio, county, tax year) the packet was prepared for. We never receive or store your card number — our payment processor handles the card and we never see it.When you buy a packet

The property and assessment data shown by the Service comes from public records, not from you. In Florida that is the Department of Revenue's assessment roll and the county property appraisers. In Allegheny County, Pennsylvania it is the county's own assessment and sales records, published by the county and through the Western Pennsylvania Regional Data Center.

2. How we use it

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

3. Cookies & local storage

4. Service providers we share with

We use a small set of vendors to run the Service, and share only what each needs:

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

5. Retention

We keep watch subscriptions and account email until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Analytics and search records are retained to understand and improve the Service. Advertising measurement. When you arrive from a Google ad and then complete a check, start a watch, begin checkout or buy, we tell Google that a conversion happened so we can see which ads are worth running. We do not send your name, email, address or which property you looked at. When you buy, we also send the amount paid and a reference number of our own that identifies the order rather than you — it carries none of your details and lets Google count one purchase once if you reload the receipt page. Nothing is sent if you simply visit and leave, and nothing is sent at all unless we are running ads. Multi-property lookups are recorded line by line so a mis-matched property can be investigated: we keep the identifier you submitted and the parcel it resolved to, with no name, email or IP attached. Those records are deleted automatically — addresses after 30 days, parcel numbers after 90 — and we never store the uploaded file itself. You can request deletion at any time (below).

Security logs — records of blocked or rate-limited requests, including the IP address involved — are kept for 90 days and then deleted automatically.

Purchase records are treated differently. If you ask us to delete your data, we remove your contact details from the order — but we keep the transaction itself (what was bought, for how much, and when), because it is an accounting record we are required to retain for tax and payment-dispute purposes. It no longer identifies you. Stripe keeps its own record of the payment under its retention rules; a request to erase that goes to Stripe.

A petition already filed with a Value Adjustment Board is that board's record, not ours, and we cannot withdraw or delete it.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures (encrypted transport, access controls, secret management). No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data.

8. Children

The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18.

9. Changes

We may update this policy; we'll revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice where appropriate.
